Overview
Created in May 2021, In Your Room brought together renowned dancer Sergei Polunin, legendary director and photographer Anton Corbijn, and the music of Depeche Mode in a project of unusual cultural weight. Built around a contemporary dance interpretation of In Your Room, the work was conceived not as a conventional music video, but as a cinematic short film — one that extended beyond performance into image-making, atmosphere and narrative. The project also served as a distinctive introduction to the forthcoming feature documentary Dancer 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2016 film Dancer. Beyond its initial release, the film has continued to circulate widely online, attracting more than 1.3 million YouTube views at the last count.
What We Did
We co-produced the collaboration and supported its development across both creative and production areas, helping bring together the artist, director and wider creative team around a shared visual concept. Our role included coordinating the production framework, managing creative communication and overseeing delivery of a project that moved fluidly between dance, film and music culture. The work reflects experience in shaping cross-disciplinary collaborations involving internationally recognised names, where artistic identity, visual language and cultural context all need to align.
